What better spot to have a night run than the hunting reserve of Case Noyale, in the South West of Mauritius? With its high grass, tamarind trees and rather dry vegetation, it has that wild Savannah feel, without having to worry about snakes and big cats! It’s almost right on the ocean too, providing a superb view very quickly as you run uphill. I was there early after a big day in the mountains of the Moka Range, to take this video clip as the sun was casting its afternoon rays.
As usual, lots of (happy) familiar faces which turned sweaty and even happier after running, surprisingly avid for beers as well! The next big race must not be happening very soon…
Organised by the local Salomon distributor Emcar Sports, the goal was to have a fun 10km run followed by a few drinks while Yannick from Emcar presented the new Salomon collection to the trailers. Let’s face it: we do love gear talk, those inspiring outdoor videos and of course, hanging out with each other!
