How has 2019 started for you? Over here, the first two weeks were charged with family time, completing missions for Mauritian clients and packing up for Austria. I am now in Salzburg and will head to Norway for one week in March, to shoot Expedition Amundsen. It’s exciting to be back in the European mountains in winter, hopefully getting better at skiing soon and going further into ski-touring, an excellent form of endurance training. More on that soon but for now I wanted to share some fresh images, done for a kite school situated right next to our family house in Pointe d’Esny, Mauritius. This spot with its wide beach, vast lagoons and hidden treasures (reefs and islets) is very close to my heart and I was stoked to have a last photo shoot there before leaving. If learning to kitesurf or kitefoil is in your plans, look no further because beyond the spot, instructors Jerome and Dominique are simply local legends and will get you up to speed in no time, at Specialised Kiteboarding.
